Ordered washing machine on the 8february on the day of delivery text message to say order cancelled.
Found out product has gone up£100 pounds!
Complained several times over the phone spending all morning being fobbed off.
Promised vouchers to compensate as I had day off. Appalled with the customer service.
Every time someone said they would ring they never bothered also email saying security breach which was untrue. I wanted to put no star review but cannot submit so 1 star put

What has happened to the once great John Lewis ?
Having checked that the item I wanted to buy was in store, (it said 4 available) I visited and was told that there was no stock and to order online.
Easy ? oh no. After selecting and clicked the add to basket link. This just continually buffered and after trying several times, I used another computer.
I accessed the phone number of my local store, and was put through to an overseas call centre, where I placed the order. If there had been another retailer that I could have used, I would have. Looks like JL are on the slide.

SHOCKING SERVICE Write to Head Office don't even reply . Lap tops sold constantly failing within and out of warranty .Staff rude unhelpful with couldn't give a damn attitude once you have spent a grand with their company.

Zanussi Fridge & freezer

I purchased a Zanussi Fridge & Freezer from John Lewis almost 2 years ago & the doors of both machines have started to rust. On contacting John Lewis they say their 2 year guarantee only covers mechanical faults but on my receipt it clearly states the items are covered for parts & labour, if the doors are not a part, what are they. I find that you are not prepared to take any responsibilty for shoddy equipment you have supplied & try to pass the buck by suggesting I contact the manufacturer ( which i have tried & have been totally ignored). You have also refused to contact the suppliers on my behalf.
Having been a loyal John Lewis customer for over 50 years & having always purchased all Home products & white goods from yourselves spending thousands of pounds in the process. It has certainly opened my eyes to how much John Lewis actually value their customers. I have always recommended John Lewis To friends & family an action I shall cease forthwith, I do not intend to be fobbed off & intend to bring my treatment by John Lewis to as wider audience as possible.

if I could give John Lewis minus stars I would, the customer service I have received thus far has been nothing short of atrocious. I bought an OLED tv for £2499.00 which developed screen burn due to product defect and not misuse. John Lewis as per usual hid behind their no refunds or exchanges clause due to screen-burn in the warranty. A quick google search reveals I am not the first to be fobbed off in this way, many customer have suffered the same experience.



Customer services at John Lewis continually parrot the clause without any care for customer feelings, having forked out thousands of pounds for an OLED TV you get told, sorry the clause clearly says we are not liable to deal with this matter contact the manufacturer.



Out of frustration at the end I even offered to buy a new OLED tv for over £1500.00 as long as they offered me a generous discount as a goodwill gesture. That was even slapped back in my face and I was told smugly again that they could not do anything for me.



You would think that someone would look at this and offer a goodwill gesture but it seems beyond them.



Go elsewhere for electrical items this is not my first bad experience with John Lewis. Little wonder John Lewis has one of the poorest Trustpiolt scores with nearly 70% rating then as bad.

I bought a very expensive SMEG integrated oven - Model - SF9315XR - for over £1000 back in December 2017. It only works intermittently so is as good as useless. I've now had 3 independent technicians try to unsuccessfully repair it and they think there is a problem with the digital timer unit. I'm incredibly disappointed as I though I was buying top end quality. I expect a gesture of support from your side otherwise will elevate my feelings to customer complaint publications. As a John Lewis customer of long standing I look forward to a speedy resolution. Kind regards. Guy Shepherd

I ordered mac book pro 2 times. But both time the order was cancelled. I called customer service but they could not give me any reason. I am really disappointed with the service.

Nordic track recumbent exercise bike

I purchased this item online on 9/9/20 and after delivery and difficulty with assembly (seat and locking handle) made contact with JL mid-October. Eleven weeks on from purchase and several communications with JL, I am still waiting for satisfaction from John Lewis and am unable to use the bike!! Commitment to customer - non existent.
