Please can someone intervene and assist with the issues we have been experiencing with Hermes delivery personnel at your Rainham Essex Depot RM13 8RH. Since Hermes occupied the location in recent months, we have experienced continuous issues with parking, access to our own building, access into and from the estate, and ours and neighbouring properties being completely blocked.



This is causing us daily operational issues, as we regularly cannot enter or leave our premises in the execution of our business, without first spending in excess of 30 minutes, locating the owners of vehicles to have them moved. We are unable to get LGV delivery vehicles into the estate between 08.00 and 13.00 hrs most days, which coupled with the above mentioned problems, is having a negative impact on our ability to operate.



We have attempted to resolve this with the local Hermes Manager, Les 07825 357363 to no avail. We have requested that he staggers the delivery personnel for the good of the other tenants, which he fails to do. Claiming that the staff just ignore him?!!!



This situation is in danger of escalation to the point of violence, there have already been several angry scenes, where Hermes personnel refuse to move vehicles, and it has become very heated. One occasion necessitated the attendance of the Police, who calmed things for a few days, before we were back to the same issues. There are also severe safety implications, should any of the buildings suffer a fire, the emergency services would be unable to access the estate due to Hermes parked vehicles.



We have operated from these premises for 18 years without incident, including several years where Asprey 24hr parcel delivery were tenants in the same unit that Hermes now occupy, and never had cause for complaint. Should you not be able to assist, or resolve the issues, I will be making complaints to the landlord and the local authorities.

My parcel should have been delivered 8 days ago. Your tracking website has been saying the same thing for the last week ...... your parcel has been delayed we will get it moving in the next 24 hours ... I have tried phoning without success, there is no email address and the help site is automated. Disgraceful service!!

Only gave it one because I had too. I honestly wonder how this company make any money as I wouldn't use them by choice. A retailer dispatched my parcel to Hermes last Monday, it was received by them on Tuesday and at my local Depot on Wednesday 18th. @ 12:36 on that day they said there was a delay with my parcel and that it would be on the move within 24 hours. Since then, nothing. No updates, no contact and no delivery. I've tried the contact numbers on their website and app, the contact button on the app doesn't work, I e-mailed the customer service mailbox quoted on the website and copied in the CEO again with details from the website. Both were returned as undeliverable as the email addresses couldn't be found. I now have nowhere to turn too just have to sit and wait and hope that it turns up.

I purchased a item from a Chinese company via eBay. The parcel arrived in the uk after a month. Then it was in the hands of Hermes. They gave me a delivery slot and said there was a problem ,the driver couldn't deliver for some reason. Then they gave me another delivery slot and didn't turn up. The next day it was a repeat performance. I tried to contact Hermes bit they are uncontactable via phone and e Mail. I have now received another e Mail from them saying that they are returning my order back to the sender in China. What a totally and utterly useless company Hermes are, they should be totally ashamed of themselves for the misery and stress that they cause people. How on earth this wretched company is still trading is totally beyond comprehension. If you deal with this company (Hermes) you do so at your own risk.

hermes have said my order was delivered but it hasnt and they have left no card

I have just received a mail from Hermes delivery driver and a picture saying he has delivered to my address, NO SO!! I had to go out and walk along my road looking for the door that was in the picture, I found it on the porch of an empty house! Hermes is out of order doing this to people. My address is 37 Finlay Dr. The tracking Number was 8438673304589462 the date today is 20th Nov. 2020. I would not even give Hermes any kind of star recommendation , this company has gone down hill this past few months.

Absolutely terrible!! Always leaving packages in my bin without leaving a card to say it’s left In the bin! I’ve lost 3 packages because of this useless stupid company. Trying to call and speak to a human is literally impossible

I had a delivery from Hermes for a Matalan package yesterday. I was upstairs so it was dumped on the doorstep. Upon examination it had been rewrapped and cut approximately 10cms and two elements of the package stolen. Tried in vain on the virtual chat as well as the phone line. Website says they listen to their customers............what a load of garbage. You can’t get through to anyone.

So today the Hermes lady was delivering in the close and I asked her about it. She apologised, said she hadn’t noticed and that I could claim a refund from Matalan. I shouldn’t have to do that. More than that , although she was a very nice lady doing a hard job, she did tell me that the parcels come through Swindon where stealing is rife. She said Thornton’s chocolates rarely make it through with just the empty boxes being transferred to the poor courier. I will be writing to their head office but I don’t imagine I’ll get any joy if as a company they sanction so much theft. They obviously don’t care as they know we will ask for a refund from the poor companies like Thornton’s and Matalan.

Be ashamed, Hermes.
