tv signal

The Freeview signal in my area is appalling. The Storeton transmitter seems unable to provide a stable signal. It's constantly pixelating and forces me to constantly retune the TV, with varying results; eg: loss of channels such as BBC1 North West, which either vanish or are so pixelated, it's unwatchable.

I have used Auto Set-up & Update channel list several times but I am not receiving either the "Sony Channel" on 49 or the "Christmas Movies" on 51. The TV comes via the Caradon Transmitter. Can you please explain.

Thank you,

John Davy

Following the upgrade at Winter Hill on Wednesday I can only access 6 channels on one TV and only channels from channel 22onwards on a SMART TV. I have retuned both of these TV's several times but can't get my previous channels back. I rang Freeview earlier today and I explained that I have 1 TV in the living room which is connected through Virgin Media, I have 1 SMART TV in the back room which is connected to the aerial on the roof and I have 1 TV in a bedroom which is also connected to the aerial on the roof. My aerial was fitted about 10 years ago and I have not had any issues with any of the TV's until now. The man I spoke to in the customer services helpline department advised me that because the TV in the living room that is connected through Virgin Media is still receiving all channels I would have to pay to have an engineer out to check the aerial on the roof. I am absolutely appalled that due to no fault of my own I an expected to pay for an engineer to come out and check my aerial that I know does not have any problem with it. It may need to be moved slightly to get a reception that enables me to watch all BBC and TV channels that I could access before Wednesday. At the very least I expect whoever ordered the work to be carried out on the Winter Hill transmitter to pay for an engineer to check my aerial NOT ME.

I look forward to receiving a response. If I don't get a response with 7 days I will take my complaint to OFTEL

Comedy

Recently various Freeview channels have started to employ a boring, totally unnecessary addition to the commentary of comedy series. These programs are designed to carry any information that a viewer would need. It is very annoying and ruins the program. Please, please remove these comments.
