The other day, on my first-ever GC train ride, I unintentionally left my phone there (though I thought I had put it in my pocket; it must have slid down the edge of the seat). When I called customer service, the agent on the other end was really helpful in finding a staff member on that train. They called me back and said they would drop me my phone, which I could pick up the following day. It was a wonderful first encounter with Grand Central because it's not often that you have a succession of incredibly helpful people, especially so rapidly.

Even if the actual rail service is frequently terrible (as is the case with all UK enterprises, regrettably), the employees are always incredibly kind and helpful despite this. Recently, Elaine and the rest of the personnel on the KGX->Bradford Interchange train (7:49 train, 3/06/22) were incredibly amazing in this annoying scenario and made sure every passenger was okay. Really excellent customer service, and they should all be commended.
