TRAVELODGE
City where company is located (optional): HIGH WYCOMBE

My Wife and I booked a room at HIGH WYCOMBE CENTRAL for one night 02/08/2023, we chose this hotel as I TRAVELODGE all the time and as we had the dog with us they are dog friendly hotels, when we arrived we were issued with card keys and upon entering the room we soon realised that we had been given access to an already occupied room containing money laptops valuables etc. THIS WAS A MASSIVE SECURITY BREACH! (I am only grateful no one was there otherwise I don't know what would have happened! and had we been dishonest we could have stolen anything we wanted!) I spoke to the receptionist who issued us with another room.
The ONLY entrance you have to use to get your vehicle close to for the loading/unloading of your baggage is at the back of the property which is filthy dirty and shared with other businesses backing on to this area so there are rubbish bins everywhere people sleeping rough and loitering around by the rear entrance (we did not feel safe), there was no CAR PARKING FACILITY so we had to use the main car park over night at the added cost of £10.
At breakfast there was no one around to help and the tables had not been wiped after other guests!, we helped ourselves to a cooked breakfast which was disappointingly COLD (not just tepid but COLD). When I discussed the issue with a member of staff they showed no interest at all and ignored me!, this also happened outside when I asked a female member of staff if there was a park she put her head down and walked away (very rude behavior indeed).
As I have stated previously I have stayed in many TRAVELODGES over the years but I have NEVER HAD AN EXPERIENCE AS BAD AS THIS! and had I known this then I would have made other arrangement's as this experience has put me off using TRAVELODGE in the future.
Further more I believe a FULL REFUND would be in order.

Booked two rooms …absolutely filthy room, dirty sheets, smelly pillows, filthy stained carpets, bathroom smelt and was dirty ,dirty in every corner ….just a complete disgusting room …WiFi was intermittent and we paid extra. I will never ever use a Travel lodge again…the staff were not very helpful at all.

Paid £184 to stay for 2nights. Room was smelly, and so hot that we couldn’t sleep, despite having a small fan on full blast.
The halls and stairs were in desperate need of a good clean and hoover.
Was supposed to be a dog friendly hotel. It isn’t. There was not even a small corner in the air conditioned bar, where we could sit with her, mainly to get her out of the heat, and have a drink and food. Couldn’t leave her in the room, as she would have suffocated.
I’m disgusted with the place, and will not stay there again.
Bathroom flooded every time we used the shower too. Windows so filthy that you could barely see out of them. Disgusting!

Complaint sent to Travelodge on Thursday 30/09/2021

On Wednesday 23/09/2021, I booked a Family Room at Travelodge, Battersea with great disappointment for 3 Ladies - myself (who has arthritis in my knees), my Friend who has a Skin Disorder and a Senior (Retired Grandmother) at a Cost of £74.99 for the night. We were provided with a Family Room (No 202). However there were so many concerns with this Room during our Stay as follows:

1) On arrival to the Room the Door would not open with the Key provided, so the Receptionist came up to Floor 2 to let us in
2) One Window in the Room was unable to be closed
3) There was a broken Chair in the room that caused an injury to one of the Guest with a Skin Disorder - Note: I have both photographs of the broken Chair and the injury to my Friend
4) The Toilet Bowl was absolutely disgusting (especially in light of Covid) - I also have photographs of this
5) There was no provided Bed Quilt on the Double Bed, just a Sheet

I travel all around the Country staying at many Hotels to include many Travelodges and I HAVE NEVER EXPERIENED ANYTHING LIKE THIS. THIS WAS MY FIRST TIME AT THE BATTERSEA SITE AND I ASSURE YOU THAT I WILL NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN.

I am looking forward to a response to this Formal Complaint -To be honest, I would expect a FULL REFUND or I will feel the need to take this Complaint further to the Ombudsman.
I anxiously await your response.

Racist behavior from Manager named Miguel Cemos
City where company is located (optional): Christchurch road, Bournemouth

Miguel Cemos, Manager at Christchurch road bournemouth, was rude and showed racist behavior to my elderly parents by raising his voice at them and not even apologizing for telling them to leave. Telling them to leave the hotel because they wanted to confirm if they could get a bigger room. Saying he could 'sell the room in 10sec'. I can not believe they will allow such a terrible being to be a manager in a service driven firm. Absolute trash!

Cost

I cannot believe we had to pay £118 for one night stay in a disabled room which we did not request, but we were told that what had been booked and no breakfast or e meal what a rip off

Booking
City where company is located (optional): LIVERPOOL

Online booking took my money but the booking did not process. I was advised to re-book at extra cost and wait for original payment to be refunded.
All phone lines are chargeable to Travelodge. So I had to lose my original booking cost until bank refunded and pay extra for calling up to sort out - when its not your fault there should be a free phone line. Also the operator did not even apologise for the inconvenience I had been put to never mind the cost.

covid voucher

I received a covid voucher due to lockdown
total was 151.00 used 50.00 of it then tried to book again - told I had to use the whole voucher and had lost the 100.00 left. I had to complain via online email - which at present arre taking minimum 10 days. I needed to book again asap
called the only number on the web that is in service -
travelodge do not have a contact number for complaints and the email of Mr Gower is no longer in service
the only way to complain is online - which is not acceptable

luckily the contact centre have said they will try and escalate my email complaint but this was after 5 calls to them

pricing

Beware, I wasn't. Travel lodge's policy is to change prices depending on demand. I paid for 3 rooms then a week later I needed 3 more and had to pay bout £170 more. The week after it went down again .not great for going on holiday
