I am a local councillor and happen to live in the Crossways adjacent to the Co-op in Upton Poole Dorset. We the residents are fed up with baskets left in the Crossways where people have been shop lifting. We return them but this happens on a daily basis. I have personally witnessed a member of the public filling up the basket and just walking out after pointing this out to a member of staff I was told that Head Office said not to challenge them. I cannot believe that this is your policy and what happens when this store is no longer viable to trade. What happened to the security you used to have. The baskets that are dumped cause a danger to the residents especially when they cannot see them. I would be grateful if someone from Head Office could reply so that I can pass on to the residents.

Thank you.
