Hotpoint washer dryer

I bought a washer dryer which was delivered on 22nd December. The dryer did not work. It has been a nightmare receiving a refund for a faulty product. Please do not buy from Hotpoint and do not engage with their abusive sales rep, Roberto. I will be taking this matter further.

I alerted the customer service dept that when I started the dryer it started bellowing dark smoke . They were unhelpful . In these days of re calling dangerous machines, customer safety should be paramount . As a pensioner I feel afraid that this dryer if used could lead to fire.

I phoned to ask for a booklet for my washer dryer they first charged me £5 then they took another £30 from my bank account I am 75yrs old and I can't afford to pay this from my bank account Why did they do this I have been with hotpoint for 15yrs I am soo upset about this money going out of my account

I am writing to you to raise an issue about: Washing Machines

The issue that I have experienced was: My hot point washing machine caught fire on august 27th. I initiated contact. You told me to go through domestic and general. You sent a engineer to my home to take a look. This was on 31st august! The engineer condemned the washing machine unsafe to use. I am fuming!!! You then sent me back to domestic and general to which I escalated the case. They have since responded saying you are at fault and not them. I want the machine out of my house and replaced. My husband suffers with ocd, and high functioning depression. I have debilitating anxiety which I am medicated for. We are both key workers and I have 3 children. I have been using the launderette which is costing £80 per week. I will send you the invoice to compensate me along with an immediate replacement machine . I will take to social media channels and take this to the press if no response is heard back from you before Friday 10th September. You are disgraceful

Replace the machine and compensate me

Tumble dryer recall

I have been trying to help my elderly 90 year old partially sighted neighbour regarding her tumble dryer recall. Apart from Hrram in customer services the contact plus service or lack of it is appalling. I will try again tomorrow to see if I am able to make progress. The delivery man delivered a tumble dryer and were meant to remove the recalled model, as the dryer did not fit they took it away along with the recalled model, they then returned shortly after as they should not have taken the recalled dryer. I later discovered my neighbour had made a payment to have an upgrade as not too have a long wait, the new dryer was the same dimension's as re recalled dryer however the hose was metal not plastic and this was the reason it did not fit, however this is easily resolved through adjustments to the hose. The dryer did not need to be removed!!!! the delivery men advised they only had a 6minute delivery time slot and had encountered the same fitting problem with a large volume of the dryers. As this appears to be a common problem , why are customers not advised that the new hoses could probably require an engineer to fit the dyer , which would save appliances being delivered then immediately removed. My neighbour has been left distressed by this experience, hence my intervention. It is an disgraceful customer journey and a deeply upsetting one for an elderly frail person, same on the company. I will try to make sense and progress tomorrow.

Clueless Hotpoint customer service. Been waiting 28 days, 5 live chats and 13 telephone calls for a receipt for my appliance repair completed on 05/07/21. Hotpoint if you give a damn then please call me. You have my number following repair number 1525764829. Been without my washing machine for 3 weeks waitin on engineer call in to fix machine. He never appeared on the day and when rang in to see u was told it b another 2 weeks there will never b another hot point macjmhine in my house there for there after sale care is useless. But sure we can blame covid

ref 1525928631 engineer lameck no 69997- came today machine not working
changed motor counterweight tank plastic- machine wash making veryl lound banging when spinning -now since this repair - drying cycle will not dry- the machine made a grinding noise and started spelling of burning = hence no washer dryer now model no wdl540plkc/64656 have had to request another call out -not till 30 july not happy with the service today - think he needs more training - i have requested for him not to return. i am in the vunerable group - lets hope some one with better knowledge comes and the parts- will
be annoyed if if cannot be fixed- feel a email to watchdog etc loomimg

Hotpoint washing machine

The service from hotpoint and their engineers is by far the worst customer service I’ve ever received ! We’ve not had a working washing machine in 3 weeks. We pay the monthly warranty so if the machine stops working we have a guarantee it will be fixed. Me and my partner work full time and have 3 young children. We do at least 4-5 wash loads per week and I’ve had to take all 3 kids to a laundrette 4 times per week at the moment. The engineer who came out the first time told my partner it was fixed. The moment he left the error lights came back on. We called again for another engineer and was told to wait over a week and a half. The engineer came on Friday with a part in his hand and asked if it was us who ordered the new part. We were shocked as we found out the previous engineer had ordered a part but never told us as he left saying it was working. The engineer still couldn’t fix the fault and has now rescheduled so we have to wait over a week again. I phoned customer services, they’re truly awful ! They don’t know what service is ! I used Twitter and again was referred to robots that didn’t know what to do ! Hotpoint have got to sort themselves out. Everything about their service is awful. I’m warning everyone I know and will continue to put it on social media sites to not but anything from them.

I had a repair to my washer dryer on 22nd June 21.
Later that day I received text message from a complete stranger.
I was advised that this person was a customer of hotpoint and had placed an order for some product. When the order was received there was an invoice included which had my name address phone number details on. I contacted hotpoint and was told someone would ring me at 4pm on 24 th June, this did not happen. Hotpoint is not in the least interested in Data Protection.
They have sent all my personal details on to a complete stranger!!!!! DO NOT USE HOTPOINT. They are rubbish..!! My machine is only 2 years old!!
