I bought a Hotpoint washing machine from you on May 29th 2020 because we wanted to support British businesses and support the home economy. The machine broke down on 1st January this year. It has 1 year full guarantee and 10 year parts.

Trying to talk to someone from your company on the phone requires a long wait of up to 20 minutes - most frustrating. We have spoken to 2 different people, the first one, reporting the problem, was on January 4th. We were told that the first day we could have a repair person sent was on the 21st - an 18 day wait. I am a Clinically Extremely Vulnerable person so neither I or my wife can go to friends' houses to use their machines. We have tried washing everything including towels by hand without great success.

The repair man came on the 20th and tried to mend it but of course he carried no spare parts ( it could have been one of 3 different parts but he would need all three to check why the machine was showing F18). We were informed that only 2 of the 3 parts were in stock. The next day we were told that all 3 parts were now in stock but the first day somebody could come would be the 12th of February! The next day, the 21st, I spoke to someone on the phone who said he would ask for a priority repair and we would receive a phone call within 4 hours. Unsurprisingly this did not happen and we, as of today, have heard nothing.

Having taken advice, I am informed that 28 days is the key factor. After 28 days of reporting a problem with a machine under guarantee, the machine should be repaired or replaced within that time frame. Again, unsurprisingly, this appears not to be the case with your company.

We have other machines in the house and have always had a superb customer service from them all. Then there is Hotpoint! This lack of service has made us decide never to purchase machines from your company although I suspect that this worries you little.

I also suspect that this email will disappear into oblivion.

Hotpoint is impossible to get hold of. I have paid £135 two weeks ago and still no engineer. Customer service is atrocious at best. Wish I’d never bought a Hotpoint. I have no idea how to get my money back as I can’t get to speak to anyone 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

I have a extended warranty on my washing machine. The engineer came and also said it is a product recall due to a fault. This occurred in early October 2020. We made over 20 phone calls and spent a lot of time being transferred, being told "to ring other numbers, we are looking into it, we do not have stock, it will be done as soon as possible, waiting for a phone call from Hotpoint ", the list is endless. It is now 17/10/20 . We have children and have to spend money on the washing in the launderette 4 times a week and have to take a bus. My time is wasted as well.

Hotpoint have not treated us like a customer with rights and have just deflected our genuine complaints. The call centre staff seem to be trained in that manner. Hotpoint deserves negative stars, but a rating is required . What are the senior management doing?

Also, they (Abdul) told me that the Customer Service centre in Peterborough does not have a telephone number or e Mail. I have to do all the investigation and chase up everyday.

This attitude is beyond belief.

Our Hotpoint washing machine failed at the start of the lockdown in March despite only being 3 years old. Phoned their customer services who told me that it was standard practice to only last that long. They transferred me to their sales team who offered a brand new NSWF843CWUK for just over £300, about 10% cheaper than Currys. After less than 6 months the machine made a loud noise when spinning, this has deteriorated to the point where we are afraid to use it anymore, it literally sounds like its about to blow up. We called Hotpoint on the 16th of October for a repair, since then they have cancelled their engineers visit three times saying the part is out of stock. All they have done is sent a couple of questions via text to ask "does it sound like an aeroplane taking off?". I've complained via their webchat and Messenger but just get fobbed off with "Our Resolution team will contact you", at first it was within 72 hours now they're stating 5 days. The company is complete shambles, don't know the meaning of customer service.

I have had a interergated fridge frizer for 8 months now and I experiencing an issue with the light. The light is always coming on whe n I open the door and sometimes it flashes.

Engineers have tried to fix it 5 times now with no success. Not happy at all with the effectiveness of the service.

I have been trying to contact Hotpoint for a week as I was meant to have my washing machine repaired on 2nd November. Since making the repair appointment (nearly three weeks in advance,) I have been receiving texts saying that the part is unavailable and I will be informed when the part is in place. We are now in lockdown and I have been trying to contact you by phone, online chat and text for five days and I cannot get through to anybody! I have been without a washing machine for over a month. I have also heard from another Hotpoint customer who purchased a washing machine at the same time as me and they have experienced the same issue. They went through the same process and only after making a huge fuss did they get a NEW machine. Other that now speaking to Citizens Advice, Martin Lewis, Trustpilot and blogging on Which, I am at a loss as to how I can get Hotpoint to honour their responsibilities as a global brand

I had a cooker HUD61KS delivered on 30/10/2020 but uninstalled. No indication of when it will be installed. No cooking facilities and cannot get through on numerous phone numbers! I will NEVER buy any of their products again!

We had an issue with our 2 year old microwave and arrange a repair with Whirlpool. The repair was carried out in February 2020 and on completion was very noisy but was assured that this would settle down to virtually nothing as it was originally when working. It hasn't. Every time it is used it drowns out conversation if you are closer than 8ft. It sounds as if it is building up to explode. I have tried every way to get hold of Whirlpool. I have tried every phone number listed but after the intro blurb they just cut off. I have tried the 'chat online' - supposed to be open in 1 minute - 45 minutes later still waiting. There doesn't appear to be anyway to send an email. I do not do Facebook so that route is closed. Frankly the means of getting hold of Whirlpool to register a problem apart from a new repair which you have to pay for (why when the original is not right) is closed to you. I thought the last try to get them to phone back might work but the excuse is they are too busy and ring off. Is there anyway to get to a human?????
