Our council isn't the best; roads always need maintenance, and it doesn't always seem to get done correctly. But it appears that they have seen that there has been a lot of resurfacing recently throughout the town, which, as a driver, I have to admit, I do love. The majority of other services appear to be passable but unexceptional.

They have a friendly rental team and work well with tenants to negotiate debt payment if necessary, assuming you're lucky enough to be one of the select few who get it to the top of the bidding process and receive a place to live. Even while the new housing auction system is quickly clearing waiting lists, many town residents are now in a worse situation when it comes to housing or rehousing. However, due to cost-cutting initiatives, maintenance work on properties is performed at a basic and frequently inadequate level.
It is aggravating to live in a town where annual service reductions are the norm due to council tax increases that are roughly in line with the national average.

RBC offers collection services for recycling and landfill bins in turn, along with a broader bin application system.
for families with six or more members or those in need.
The RBC neighbourhood offices have been actively collaborating with the local police to address disruptive activity in various parts of the town in recent years, and this has proven to be beneficial.
Many young families in less affluent regions have found the newly opened children's centres around town to be a welcome new service. These centres are open to everyone.
