Utilising the GWR portal, I was able to easily book two tickets to Gloucester, and they could be stored in my Google Wallet, which is always my preference. However, the supplier I was visiting cancelled the appointment, so I went online and completely and quickly cancelled my tickets. Excellent service and a fantastic portal!

I am resolved not to allow this week's experience to diminish my gratitude as a great train fan, frequent service customer, and team leader for the GWR volunteers at Freshford station. I have to report that obtaining a refund for a ticket that was purchased in error today has been an extremely horrible process. I won't go into too much detail here, but definitely check into GWR—it's not exactly the quick, painless transaction one would expect, and there's an extra £10 admin cost!
