Fridge thermostat replacement
City where company is located (optional): Henley in Arden

WARNING! DO NOT PURCHASE SPARES DIRECT FROM HOTPOINT!!
The government are encouraging us to” repair not replace” and as the thermostat had broken on our fridge ( freezing the contents) I ordered a new “plug and play” thermostat direct from Hotpoint after advice from the sales lady as to the correct part.
The new thermostat arrived and was fitted by my husband who is a qualified engineer having worked in the electrical industry for over 30 years. The thermostat is literally swap over with 3 or 4 connectors that u can’t get wrong.
The new thermostat was clearly faulty as when u opened the fridge door the light went off and the light went on as you closed the door along with the thermostat not working at all as all the lights were on on the fridge temperature guide.
We refitted the old thermostat and the fridge started working again (albeit freezing the contents of the fridge). I rang whirlpool first thing to tell them their part was faulty and after being passed to many departments they refused to take the part back as it wasn’t fitted by their engineers!! BE WARNED AS THEY TREAT YOU LIKE IDIOTS ON THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE!

If I could award a minus star rating I would. We have been trying to book an engineer to fit a part. Booking online was horrendously difficult. Despite asking for a specific time, and inputting preferred date and time, the " online agents " ignored the query entirely. They really are amateurs and unprofessional. In this day and age I would prefer staff with a modicum of intelligence. Whirlpool are one of worst organisations I have encountered. Shame on you for making a simple task so much harder and frustrating. Do better Whirlpool.

This coffee machine had a value of £1200. It has not worked. I required some parts, a nozzle and a plastic cup. I waited 9 months for it to come and then the machine broke down. Trying to contact customer services is not easy. I went through 4 different departments. Anyway I received a cost which floored me and I asked them CCT to call back. They did not. So I now have to chase them. Dont buy Whirlpool, the after care is terrible and they are just not interested. I would throw this machine out, but that would be silly. I had to rate this as one star as I could not proceed. What about a minus star!!!!!

I have been trying to resolve an issue with Whirlpool for coming up to six months now and am still getting nowhere. You can never get through to customer services by telephone and get fobbed off by email. You just go round and round in circles.I dont now how a company of this size is allowed to operate in this way .A simple return of the wrong parts that have been sent out have escalated into a mammoth task .I its getting to the point of getting citizens advise involved you have taken the money given the wrong parts its the stuff TV Shows love ! I have given a 1 star because I have had to for submitting this post.
