Informed via text message at 8.49 am that a parcel was due to be delivered that day between 12.57-13.57. That would be fine as I was working from home, been up since 7am.

I then get a text pop up at 13.03 saying, sorry we missed you??

I went to the door and there was a card, bog standard we called you were out. I put the reference number in the laptop and there pops up a picture of my car in my drive, and a statement sorry you were out.

No where, and I mean no where could I find an e-mail or phone number, the website takes you round in circles to stop you complaining, I eventually found a phone number on a separate google search (0121 275 0500), 'easy to follow complaint procedure', again round in circles no one to speak with. I have been in my home since 7am, I am still in my home at 2pm, I live in a quiet street, no kids home, no radio and I can hear my cat meow at the door to come in, but apparently I missed Julius knocking on my door!

What a crap service, tight schedule means no time to deliver does it, then when you are on the round about phone call they say 'we wont ask you to sign for your parcel, we will just take a picture of it in your door way!'. What a bloody liberty expecting me to be free in a few hours notice then telling me I was not in.

I also found the complaints e-mail on a further google search, credit@dpd.co.uk, and think I will write to them at the office too PO Box 6979, Roebuck Lane. Smethwick B66 1BN and enquire after Julius's health as he seems to be either wearing mittens already or incapable of knocking on a door.

I feel more like Victor Meldrew every day!!!

Parcel delivery

On 25 July, 2021 DHL left a note saying they had not delivered a parcel because there waas no-one at home to sign for it. All attemots to rebook a delivery or to contact them failed because they demanded a tracking number which I have no means of discovering, Their card number was not accepted. Their electronic switchboard is a barrier to communication, they have no local tel. no., online information is minimal, they are over-centralised and ill-organised.

Failed Delivery

They left a card saying they had been unable to deliver a parcel. I rang their number, quoting the card number and was repeatedly cut off. I contacted their online number with the same result. When I emailed their customer relations I was told the card number was invalid. A letter by first class post, giving a date for delivery and my telephone number was ignored. No company can get away with this long-term.

Invoice

I cannot even rate this Company. We are a small business who had an invoice for duty in March 2021 the invoice was wrong and they wanted £7043 duty. It should have been under a £100. I have been trying to get this resolved, EASY...You would think. No! The people I have been dealing with continue to send demands, threaten court, tell me to pay it and claim the duty back when submitting our VAT return. All I want is an amended invoice and it will get paid. I keep getting pushed from pillar to post and nothing is resolved. This Company need to shape up and look after its customers and in the event of a query try and be more helpful instead of passing the buck and sending demands which cause stress and upset. Our Company will not be using them again and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone DIABOLICAL!

delivery / collection

A totally useless company, they cant deliver or collect anything on the agreed dates. Even when they do manage to deliver an item, it arrives opened!
If i could i would give this company zero stars

BEWARE _ Absolutely shocking decision by the driver to leave packages of boxed lap tops in a public area and could easily have been stolen rather than contact a number displayed in the area to hand over valuable items securely. . compuetrskl
