Although I reside on a council property, I currently work for a housing association (I won't identify or disgrace it).
When people grumble about council properties, they genuinely have no idea how fortunate they or we are!
Rapid phone responses, excellent service, lower rent, prompt handling of concerns, and reasonably rapid repair turnarounds are all present. This is genuinely the complete reverse of what I've encountered in other places, where a housing association very unjustly raises rent and increases service fees by more than £100 per month in April after a property purchase! The council is extremely reasonably priced and not greedy with money!
Anyone who resides on a council property ought to consider themselves fortunate.
