After eating in the city centre, my wife and I just boarded the train at 22:17 to travel to Maghull North from Liverpool Central. During the trip, a homeless man, who was obviously in distress, got on the train and started screaming. At the Maghull station, the train's driver came to a halt, dealt with the man in a forceful yet caring manner, and allowed us to resume our journey. In these circumstances, I find it impossible to support the idea of autonomous trains since passenger safety has to come first. Congratulations to the driver.

I'm spoiled by Merseyrail's excellent service and spot-on train schedules. I've recently had to use alternative networks, such as Avante and North Western, which frequently stress me out and make me want to cry. It's pleasant to board one of our beautiful trains with the assurance that you will reach your destination on schedule.
