The council-run Hastings Library is superior to a private one. However, it's a little offensive, to put it mildly, to be informed that you can only stay for two hours when there are computers available on two-thirds of the floor. All I need to do is ask another employee to notice this and extend the time. There are employees who make decisions that appear to be ill-informed, dishonest, and unprofessional. Not just now, either. The other thing I would want to bring out is that it appears the government needs to hire more employees in libraries so they can staff every floor. For example, in Hastings, two floors are staff-free fifty percent of the time. This appears risky. additionally the Floor just doesn't have any service.
