I don't often visit or require going into the city centre. Sadly, though, today was just one of those days. However, the number of abandoned stores where businesses had shut down really astounded me. Still, there is construction going on all around us. The fact that people's livelihoods have been destroyed while money is being wasted on new construction projects truly disturbs me. The council is obviously out of order in this situation. Given the last eighteen months that we have all experienced, it would be wiser to support the current community and businesses rather than making new investments.

I wanted to express my gratitude to Rob, the Bristol City Council receptionist, through this letter. Nothing was too much difficulty for him to assist me with my question; he went above and beyond. Congratulations on hiring kind, accommodating employees! It really does make a difference to speak with actual humans rather than chatbots!
