Tried to return some items i bought 26/09/2021 i would have returned sooner but Son and family have been isolating due to testing positive so couldn't visit to check if items any good i was going to see them on 2nd October but couldnt visit due to them isolating ,i visited on 13th october and returned goods to store asap on 14th october a little over the returns time but no couldn't have a refund had to have a voucher so i'm not impressed with customer service its disgraceful i know you have to have rules but a little disgression wouldnt have gone a miss with whats going on in the world . But reading other complaints it seems you are not very compassionate . I left the store feeling very annoyed Manager in the store wouldn't even come down on the shop floor to speak to me . I worked in a retail store all my working life and would not have dealt with a customer like that 😕 So One Very Unhappy Customer .... Awaiting your reply x

I’m sick to death of getting home then finding on receipt I’ve been overcharged not once or twice nearly every time I find something
The last was only a pound by scanning 2 packets of sweets I only had one ! Are they told to do this if lots of items
In the past it has been clothes , charged full price when it says 20%off too much hassle going back and to far
So please check your receipts before going home I’ve lost £5 over the last month so my fault for not checking

terrible service from matalan and the products were even worse
had cushions and the seems completely come apart within weeks of receiving them made a complainant via customer service due to the stores closures with covid no response at all from them made numerous attempts to contact finally had a response to which i responded and then nothing further them and have continued to chase them and no response i then made a phone call informed them of my issues and they informed would refund and still waiting for my refund

Undelivered products but money taken

I purchased products via the website to be informed standard delivery would be 3-5 working days. 2 weeks later i am still waiting although the money has been taken from my account for the items. I have had an email from matalan stating the order was on its way and will be with me shortly, this was 2 weeks ago. Using the tracking information given to me the courier is still awaiting delivery to them from matalan. Matalan then had a cheek to send me a survey regaing my order that i should haved recieved asking how they did. When trying to contact matalan all you can do is use email where you get a auto response and no one contacts you but its ok as the hear you.

Rubbish i will never use the again and i am seeking legal advice due to the theft of money taken from my account.

Hi on visiting your store today I considered the merchandise excellent, however the checkout was a nightmare. There were few people in the shop, but the check out cue was shocking. Only one till had an actual person there, to pay cash and return products, all the rest were self service which I had never come across this system before. There were two staff members who were there to help, although one did not seem to be up to speed with the system. Customers were complaining in a very long queue. I mentioned it to a staff member on the way out, not in any way aggressive I considered the aggression to come from the staff member. stating that thousands had stated they thought the system was amazing and about time! I was apparently the only person to ever complain about the new system. I consider the system discriminatory to especially elderly, and vulnerable people. I consider your shop to be excellent, good value for money and very good quality. However following todays experience, I doubt whether I could shop there again, dreading the time I pay for my purchases, I feel sad about this as I cannot foresee it improving as one of the staff at hand required assistance from the other member of staff. Pluss the very unhelpful attitude of the member of staff at the door who I mentioned it to. I was not aggressive in any way, although the attitude of your staff member was extremely negative.
