Our kid and I recently went to see the Gruffalo Trail. With the help of a very friendly staff member from Forestry England, we actually completed the Gruffalo and Zog routes. Our kid had a great time on the Zog trail, which required her to follow an interactive phone app as she passed certain trail markers. I will return without a doubt because there seemed to be a lot to do, such as biking, go-ape, den construction, and kid's play areas in addition to the other paths.

We just took a really pleasant walk along the Gruffalo track in the Cannock Chase Forest. The children delighted in discovering every character in the well-known tale. We tried the Zog trail as well; however, the app didn't function properly! It is evident that there is an issue with the app because we saw a few other families experiencing the same issues. We bought the Zog trail packs, which were good but a bit pricey at £12 for three packs. The main contents of the packets were cardboard dragon wings and stickers! In addition, the parking is extremely expensive—we had to pay £9 for two and a half hours! The website is excellent for small legs and very accessible. There were a few little play areas scattered throughout the trail to aid in extending your stroll if necessary.
