BeoPlay H3 Headphones
City where company is located (optional): Wokingham

These H3 earbuds were purchased last May/June for Fathers Day present.

Prior to lockdown, they developed a fault whereby signal/sound was heard intermittently from either RH / LH channels, when jackplug was removed and re-inserted, this made no difference, as it sometimes cut all signal completely.

Further checking on the InterWeb confirmed this is not a one-off issue with B&O rather an inherent problem with the unit. There is some 11 months still left on B&O's 2 yr warranty, but as I don't possess a receipt, they are dismissing the warranty claim out of hand, even though the product registration was submitted onto their system. Would I buy B&O again, or recommend B&O products ?? Probably NOT, if it was based upon their abysmal after-sales customer services. One must therefore question whether B&O's mission statement claim of producing "premium products" has more to do with "price positioning" rather than the actual quality of components, build quality and quality control at point-of-dispatch. I suspect these products are sub-contracted out to a third-party (Chinese) manufacturer, and bought on a best price deal !! Perhaps B&O should not forget, that it is their name on the product they sell, their choice of buying the cheapest quote, and selling at the highest price, is a sad reflection on a misplaced business strategy. Companies do not get a second chance... to make a first impression !! Think on !!
