I rang on 26th July to inform council that my sister a tenant had past away. on 31st July I received a letter from the council addressed to me as the executor (which I am not and calling me so despite knowing this is not the case is a breach of GDPR) they said my sisters bank had bounced the payment and under the circumstances they would present it again on the 29th and should that bounce my sister would not be able to pay by DD for the rest of the year or next year. How callous are Basildon Council. This is not a case of a cross over letter because if it was it would have been addressed to her. This is a case of someone not doing their job right. plus an hour haning on the phone for billing is not good enough
